Calluses on the penis with frequently painful curvature (induratio penis plastica, IPP)
This ailment is characterized by more or less prominent calluses on the skin of the corpus cavernosum by excess formation of connective tissue. A scientific explanations for this has yet to be found. Certain groups have proved to be susceptible to IPP, including many diabetics.
The calluses (plaques) cause painful distortion of the member, and this impedes or prevents sexual intercourse.
Although no long-term results are available for a large number of patients, Phallosan can certainly be recommended as a temporary alternative to surgery, particularly in consideration of the fact that it will in no way prejudice further treatment options.
